spring has truly sprung now
I just realized most of my icons on DW are not very cheerful. I might have to do something about that at some point.
So, I got most of my planting done today with a few things that'll have to wait until my next day off--which is Wednesday this week, for some reason.
Here's what I put out today:
Mountain Fire Pieris (2)
Little Lanterns Columbine (2)
Palace Purple Coral Bells (2)
Walker's Low Catmint (1 planted, 1 waiting for Wednesday)--those were on clearance (score!)
Verbena (8 in a fuchsia color)--I already had 2 purple and 2 fuchsia ones that are bigger. These are just little annuals.
violas (2 in dark purple/black and 1 in a lighter purple/dark purple)
impatiens (3 white and 3 coral)
and 2 lettuce plants that I put in containers. I have 2 more that are going to go in the ground out by the strawberries. I'm pretty sure they will be rabbit food. Literally. :)
I forgot to take pictures before it got dark but tomorrow after work I'll try to get some. I mainly want them for my own comparison purposes anyway.
Then after a shower, I painted my nails a spring-y light blue. That's fun.
It is amazing how much effect the weather has on my mood (I know it's the same for a lot of people but it's only something I've noticed in the last few years). The grief and the stress and all the assorted other crap of life haven't gone away by any means, but it's easier to deal with when it's 80 degrees and sunny with a nice breeze blowing.
That said, I'm so tired from not sleeping well last night I'm counting down the minutes until I can go to bed.
