I have heard rumours that there are ways to get semagic working for cross-posting, but as it's not a Linux client I can neither confirm nor provide directions.
The crossposting confuses me because my syndicated feeds update at different times on LJ than on DW so something can show up on one site before it shows up on the other. I'm going to have to go through people's DW manifesto posts soon and create a filter over there for people who are not leaving/not cross-posting.
Apparently at some point the idea is that we will be able to "claim" our OpenIDs so that, for instance, old comments attributed to an OpenID will automatically associate with the correct DW account. I believe it's an "after-launch" thing though so sometime past July.
